Programs

I have read several posts about girls making their own programs. Can you send me your ideas. My wedding is a year away, but I want to see what is available. Also, is there special paper that you used, how about computer programs. Fill me in on all. Thanks

Re: Programs

I bought brochure paper at Staples. It is heavy stock paper that is scored into 3 panels. Then I just did it through Microsoft Publisher. My programs weren't very fancy, but they came out very pretty and simple. I didn't even save one for myself, because I never expected so many people to show up at the chuch. They all went.

Is Microsoft Publisher standard in Microsoft Works 2000?

Re: Programs

I am just using microsoft word and putting in a booklet form which I think is on XP, I am not sure, fh is in charge of this!! I bought silver/grey vellum with grey parchment sort of looking paper. Got it at Access paper which was recommended to me by Sonicstef on here! Good luck!

Re: Programs

I made all my programs for about .30 each. I printed them on regular paper. I am not a microsoft word wiz, so I printed each page separatly, and then (literally) cut and pasted on the 8 X 11 sheets of paper once they were folded in half - then I just made photo copies. I then used vellum paper that I bought on ebay as a cover, folded that over the program and kept it together with ribbon. I printed some designs on the program covers, like hearts, and leaves and such. I'll see if I can attach a photo. Good luck!

I used 80# cover paper in ivory for the cover of my programs. On the front is our monogram and on the back center bottom it reads: 'At Home'...followed by our names and adresses for people to get in touch with us. Then for the inside pages I bought 28# resume paper in ivory, set up my layout in word and printed them out. Tied them together with red organza ribbon. Easy, simple and less than .50 cents each.

Re: Programs

we will be doing the same as most of the answers above...if we decide to do them at all. Our ceremony is only going to be abot 5 minutes so I am not sure if its worth it or not just yet.

Re: Programs

MS Publisher might be standard on some machines, but it a completely different program than Works. The thing I like about Publisher is that it allows you to type in your info in sequential order, but then it will print out like a booklet that you can just fold in half.

Re: Programs

I am ordering blank programs that match my invites and just printing them up on my computer. They are costing me about $36 for 100 or $0.36 each.
