Would it be a bad idea to start my programs a year in advance? I am DIY'ing them so I wouldn't lose much if something needed to be changed on them between now and then.

Yes.....I did mine early and things changed....I now hate myself for it and I am putting off fixing them till the last minute.

i think it should be ok!! there is no real time seriously as long as you are sure of what you want and don't want something else once they are done
