I am not simply because then i have to deal with the issue of his father who passed away years ago... his family hasnt really 'let him go' and so if i have one my fmil will want us to dedicate 2 pages in his memory which is to depressing in my tastes for a wedding

While Jewish weddings typically do NOT have programs, we wanted to have them so as not to alienate many of our guests who are not familiar with our customs and traditions.

But in reference to what you said, I can understand where you are coming from. We recently lost my Dad in July. I am aware that people put a memorial page that simply says 'In Memoriam' and lists the people the familes have lost. That is our plan thus far. The only person who passed since we are both together is my father, our grandparents passed away so many years ago that it may drum up feelings people arent prepared to have. I ALSO decided NOT to tell my mother we are doing it. If she knew, she'd get upset but the bottom line is, he is my father and I have the right to honor him this way, in a program as he is the man responsible for the wedding in the first place.

we will be- only to explain the traditions and customs (of course we will include like a thank you page, an introduction page with everyones names, the traditions page and lastly a dedication page to the ones who passed )

We're doing one because we're having a very orthodox jewish ceremony and we want everyone to understand the customs and traditions.

we're going to have programs so people can see who is in the BP, who are readers are and what they will be reading, stuff like that...keep them in the know

I only have pics of mine. I did them myself using the layered program template that I think you can get off of DivaBride's website (do a search). You can also find lots of pics on invitation websites or even check out SonicStef's stuff (she has alot of nice stuff that she designs).

Yes, b/c there will be a lot of people there who don't really know me, much less my BP. And when I saw the program fans that are shaped like calla lillies, I fell in love!!
