programs UGH

we have about 300 people coming and i asked my FH how many programs he thought we needed to make and guess what he says!!

'400 or 500' WHAT!! he's so annoying to ask questions related to the wedding- he has no idea. i asked him to explain and he says 'programs get lost and everyone wants a program' WHAT! why would they want one afterwards??

he is so irritating!!!!

anyway- i know this has been discussed and most of the answers given were about 20% less than estimated # coming but i was at a wedding last weekend and almost everyone took programs even if they were a couple. but i really don't want to make 300 if 100 are going to go to waste!!!

I would make 120...guys never take programs and not everyone comes to the wedding. Infact 100 would probably be fine.

Do you have an estimate on whos coming to the ceremony? I would guess 150-200 just to be on the safe side.

Edited to say: I so know how you feel about the asking FH questions! I sometimes think that FH does'nt realizes that in a few months were getting married!

I'm in the process of making mine now. I'm having 180 peole. I'm making 120. I've never seen everyone take one! My FH has never taken one ever and most guys are that way.

I had 162 people at my ceremony (because it was at the place everyone came). I made 100 programs, and I have about 35 left over! Definitely lowball it!

I had 130 people and I made 110 and there were only 5 left over.

Lulu, you were great at estimating!! It's would be so awful to see many wasted.

I'm inviting 150 guests. Do you think I can expect 125 to come? If so,I guess I should make 110 also.

Jagrawal, I guess 220 would be a good amount for you.

If only half the people come to the church, would you take the remaining programs to the reception for people to take? Has anyone seen this? Would you place them along side the tablecards?

This is definitely much more confusing than I realized.

ETA: Lulu, you had 130 guests. I am wondering how many you invited? What is the percentage of regrets that people mention as average?
