Proline in PA Stinks!! vent
Again, the one in PA, NOT the one on LI!!
I had called them a while back and told them they were out of our budget but they said to look at the site anyway maybe they could do something. Long story short after a lot of back and forth they offered me a really good deal yesterday. In prev conversations I always felt he was a little pushy but it was enough for me to notice but not enough to write them off completely. I just chalked it up to an over eager salesperson.
Yesterday he did offer me an incredible deal and he did say that he would honor that for the day. But after the conversation I was left with a bad taste in my mouth because of the way he lowered the price and how pushy he was that for that day only. I was still gonna show FH the site just in case.
However, he had a really busy day with work plus there are issues coming up as we´re trying to get him mom to be get everything she needs to apply for the Visa so that she can go to the US (something I told FH we should do sooner but that would be another vent![]()
) So we didn´t really have time to do it and with everything gong on I kinda forgot about it anyway.
The guys just calls me back to see if he missed my call yesterday and I told him that no and I´m really sorry but I didn´t get a chance to do it and explained a little about the issue. He said that I don´t realize the price I´m getting and I said that I did and that I appreciate the offer but I need to discuss it with FH. He proceeds to tell me that the deal is so good I don´t have to discuss it with anyone I should just take it because he can guarantee that noone else will give me the price.
Now, while his offer is very good because of the closeness of my wedding and it being on Good Friday I´ve actually gotten some very similar offers as his except his includes BluRay (one other company included it as well). I told him this and that FH is obviously a very important part of this wedding and I´m not gonna exclude him on it. He said that he understood but that hes just telling me that I have to make the decision as soon as possible he can´t hold the date. I told him that I completely understand if he had to go with someone else. By that point I was 98% sure I wouldn´t use him just b.c of this attitude. But then I forgot what he said but I told him that while I would love to have a video, to me it is much more important to have FHs mother there that day. And he proceeds to say 'OK, whatever, but you . . . ' I stopped listening at that point. WHATEVER?? Really now. So I told him I don´t want to work with him at all because of his attitude and how can he say whatever about us wanting FHs mom there. He started trying to say something but since it didn´t start with I´m Sorry I just hung up the phone!!
I try to be as nice as possible with people but I think I was more than patient with him!!!! The sad thing is that if he had acted differently, he was actually one of the top contenders based on price and quality of work. But its better that this happened now and not after we booked!!
Wow! this is really long and sounds like backyard gossip with the he said/she said!! sorry about that!! I just thought I´d vent so others would be warned!!
