I was told that these dresses take a long time to come in. I was wondering how long you were told or how long it took for yours to come in.

Re: Pronovias
The place I went to had them and I tried them on and she told me I would need to order it 8-9 months ahead of my wedding to ensure adequate time for fittings which she estimated to be 2 months. So 6 months?

Re: Pronovias
yes - i was a pronovias bride. they do take a long time to come in b/c they wait until they get your order to actually make your dress. from what i understand, they don't have standing stock. so they don't make a dress until someone actually orders it, thus taking many months to come in.
i ordered a pronovias in july for my wedding next october and it STILL has not come in. it's due to come in in february.
for my actual wedding that i pushed up, i had to get a new dress and somehow ended up finding another pronovias dress. it was a sample since i had no time to order, so i'm not sure how long that would have taken, but i'm sure just as long.

My place told me 6-9 months. I'm just a little nervous because my wedding is 6 months away.

i would say that is accurate - at a minimum six months.

Re: Pronovias
hi
I am a san patrick bride (a pronovias line), and I ordered my dress (It was a 2006 dress, not the new ones) in mid august from RK bridals no frills service. Their estimated delivery date was 12/11, and I picked it up last saturday
So at least for that line, it went fairly fast.... but yeah, they do only start sewing after the order is placed....
