Re: Proof my Invite!

Looks good to me!

I just finalized my proofs this week, so I totally sympathize with not finding any mistakes b/c you've stared at them so long. LOL . When I showed my FH he found like 3 little things that I totally missed.

i think that the date is supposed to be capitalized

See I thought that too!!! But I went on some sample wording websites and the only thing that was capitalized was the day of the week and the month. So I don't know what's right or wrong

1. I say yes, put FH's last name. thats the way it is in most of the invite books I have at work.

2. six-thirty should be hyphenated

3. the date doesn't 'have' to have caps but you can do it that way if you want. I will check the books I have at work to see what they have. Let ya know tomorrow.

so exciting! cant wait to order mine.

It's the same as my parents.

Most invite books I saw had the groom's last name (even when it said 'son of') and not the bride's.

Is that not right?

Yup - the one I took this from did not have it capitalized, which totally goes against my instincts!

the brides last name is not typically on the invite.

I'm sure it is fine anyway! I guess it's not really a mistake - just a matter of preference!

I agree with all 3. I have around 15 samples in front of me and none of them have the date in caps.
