Its been close to two months since I've gotten my proofs back and I still havent made my selection. I've been very lazy about it. How long did it take you to hand your selection in?

There was a clause in our contract that if we didn't pick them by 60 days after the wedding, we would have to pay the 'current' prices. So, we didn't have much of a choice (well I guess we did, but I wasn't paying any more!!) We picked them last week (we had them for about 4 weeks)!

Omg, I thought I was the only one...My MIL just picked the proofs for her album. I am waiting for my mom to pick her's and than I will select mine...there are just way too many to choose from

DH and I just did our album this past Saturday. it WAS NOT easy picking 100 pics for the album. I know it's a good problem to have, but I it was very frustrating! I picked and re-picked and re-picked and re-picked and re-picked

We haven't had the care to do it...it's been really busy right now with the holiday's Thanksgiving...Christmas...putting up the tree...taking down the tree...shopping...cooking...Now with TWOTY...there's just too much. We both didn't want to rush to just 'get them done'. This is an album that we'll have to look at for the rest of our lives and didn't want to feel pressured to meet a timeline. (Our photographer gave us an add'l disc. on add'l prints, etc. if we did them withing 4-6 wks of the wedding).
We're waiting until after our vacation in Feb to really take time and review our proofs.

Just to clarify, I don't think that I rushed through my pictures to 'get them done' at all. During the four weeks that I had my proofs, I looked at them almost every night and made very educated decisions.

We still have not made our selection. We also have a clause that we have to pick them within 4 months or we will get charged a late fee. My parents live in Ireland so it's hard to get them to pick for their parents album, but they came over on Saturday, so I'm hoping we'll finalize all the albums in the next few weeks.

We still have not done it. In fact, we haven't printed our proofs yet...we hope to do it by our 1 year anniversary.

Nah, we know...but with moving and finding jobs, a house (or apartment) and the mess of holidays, parties, etc. we're winding down now...plus I'm not really looking forward to 1400 proofs...and my photog doesn't have a package with albums, so I can take my time. My deadline is 5/27/06...

I just got my proofs last week and I am making my albumn 2/4
I know once the warm wather comes and we want to move in the spring- I wont get to it
I look at them all the time- and can pretty much do it right now

My, my aren't we unhappy campers today? I guess your eggs didnt cook right this morning J/K A girl I work with still hasnt chosen her pics and her wedding was OCT 04 . But she blames it on the fact that she doesnt like any of her proofs.

Girl, I am feeling GOOD today...I'm alive, will soon move to another state (no more trains!!) and I'm healthy...plus my omelet rocked this morning! It's the huevos fritos that svck!
Wow, over a year and no albums...but I feel bad that she doesn't like her proofs. I on the other hand am delusional and think I look like I did on my wedding day every day...

We picked ours for the album right before Thanksgiving and turned them in that weekend, with a few changes since. So it took us awhile but I did it in chunks so it wasn't too much work at once.

Our parents have chosen their pictures but we haven't come close to choosing our own. Just sooo many to go through and examine. It takes time! :)

Took us about a month and a half...basically just needed to take the time to sit down and do it...once we did that, a few hours!

My MIL has them now and my parents will get them over the weekend. After their finished we'll get them. Hopefully by the end of the month we'll have them all picked.

It took us two weeks - we were motivated by that fact that within 2 weeks we would get a discount on additional prints plus I am super anal about getting things done on time.
DH and I picked all of our pictures for the album as well as all the pictures for the parent album. We laid them all out in the living room and started with our album first. DH put blue post it notes on the back of all of his favorites and I put pink ones on the back of my favorites. We first grabbed all the mutual favorites and put them in pile. Then we went back to our individual favorites to narrow them down. We had a lot of similar ones so we would scrutinize the pics to see which was better (better smile etc). In the end we managed to get it all done. So it was a lot of work but I pushed us to get it done. Now we are waiting for the call from patken to proof the layouts.
