alright... im having issues trying to figure something out. the whole kissing on the cheek hello / goodbye thing.
i have a group of friends that are all married and or dating. and here's what it's like to walk into a gathering...
i kiss christina hello, and she gets mad if you just throw your cheek out... she needs to feel that kiss on her cheek.
next is Lisa, my best friends wife, and also one of my closest friends. i have never kissed her hello.
so then comes Deb. i barely know her.. .so i dont kiss her hello because i didnt the first few times i saw her, so how do you start doing it now??
then Evelyn, i kiss on the cheek.
so i just walked into a gathering and kissed 2 out of 4 people. that is weird to me!!! and it's not exactly something you can ask someone. 'hey... should i kiss you hello??'
i have a friend Jessica who is in my weddign party because she's one of my closest friends. all the years i have known her, i have never kissed her hello. recently, i did, dont know why... and it was the weirdest thing i had ever done!!!
it's so hard to figure this stuff out!!! from now on... i'm either gonna kiss EVERYONE hello... or no one. which should i go with?????

I dont think it really matters...I usually just give everyone a kiss hello and goodbye (its more of a respect thing for me...I havent seen you in a while and i obviously like you so i will give you a kiss hello) BUT if you see someone everyday there is no real need for the hello kiss...

My group of friends always kiss or hug each other hello and goodbye. But, I think it is what you feel most comfortable with. Definitely no one or everyone, though. Especially in a group.

my fh's friends ALL kiss me goodbye or hello haha sometimes they'll throw a big bear hug in too ( usually because i make a funny noise like uuuuuuuuuuuugggggggggggghhhhhhhh) lmao i guessi'm just lovable!

Um, it depends on which group of friends I'm with. Some friends I kiss hello and goodbye, others (like, oddly enough my BEST FRIEND) no kisses hello or goodbye.
Certain people don't expect it, and if I start doing it now they'll probably think I'm going to die soon or something and just want to show my love.

Do air kisses or high fives. Make life easier
No really, just a simple kiss on the cheek is fine. Esp. if you are at a formal event ( like wedding) or dinner. If you playing Wii, than a simple 'hi' is ok.

I often think about this too.... there is no 'perfect' answer... some people you kiss hello some you dont... but if you do find the answer let me know...

i hug and kiss everyone i don't think that's shady i am just used to do in this everyone in my family does it so i don't think is weird, my FH says hi to everyone like that to and when he says hi to women he says 'hello hun' at first this used to bother me but when i met his family i saw his dad and his brother does the same thing so i know they do it respectfully so I don't mind it anymore
