proper ettiquette?

If a woman is a widow, on invites do you still put Mrs.? or is it Ms?

You can still put Mrs. as long as she hasn't re-married. My FMIL is a widow and it's defintely Mrs.

unfortunately the actual proper etiquette is to put

Mrs. John Smith

i really dont like this and I may not do it - however, i know when you have your invites done professionaly they sometimes try to get you to follow that. . .

Shes still Mrs. but theres never any harm in putting Ms.

I personally put Mrs. on my widowed guests...

It is definitely Mrs. If she were divorced then it would be Ms.
