Is it REQUIRED that we provide transportaton to/from the hotel from the airport AND to the reception (ceremony and reception are at the same place)?

thanks!!

I don't think anything is required to be honest. Its really up to you and your budget. I have been to out of town weddings and both weddings did not have transportation arranged.

What we did was set up a company to do the runs to and from the aiport and had the people attending the wedding pay for it. Since our wedding was in Aquebogue, we had a service running from Kennedy and LaGuardia airports for $20-30 a person.

We used Serenity Limousines and they were excellent.

So you provided airport/hotel options? but they were responsible for getting themselves from the hotel to your wedding?

thanks ladies!

THe hotel we had our guests stay at offered a free shuttle to the wedding.

However, for the rehearsal dinner we had to make sure everyone had a ride and we just paired everyone up with people who were staying at the hotel but had cars.

I think people should be responsible for their own transport from airport to hotel.

Most weddings I've been to, the guests were responsible for all transportation. I've been to many where buses were rented and we all chipped in to cover the cost.

For my wedding, I'm providing transportation for my wedding party and OOT guests all together in a 30-person mini-van bus type thing. Wedding and recep are in same place, so I'll get everyone to and from. But this is my choice, not my responsibility.
