Hi,
I used to post here all the time when planning my wedding in 2006. Now, I chat on lifamilies sometimes. However, I felt the need to come back and warn future brides about the way I was recently treated at Commack Wedding Center on Crooked Hill Road.
I am in my brothers upcoming wedding and had to go there to get my gown. They measured me in the middle of the showroom, yelled out my size across a busy area, and didn't even offer to let me try on the dress. Also, when I asked them why they were ordering a particular size, 6, the girl threw down the size chart and said 'look at the chart'. I was on asking because I was in my sisters wedding in October and was ordered a size 2 from the same designer. I didnt want to be overcharged for big alterations later.
Finally, when my older sister went to be sized for her gown they told her she should 'back out' of the wedding because she is pregnant and due close to the wedding date. Now, my sister offered this to my brother and his future wife and they agreed they wanted her in the wedding. How dare these people suggest otherwise.
Sorry this is so long but I know many brides here have had negative experiences with thema ddn I wanted to warn you all of the way they may treat your bridal party if you use them.
Happy Planning All!!
