PSA for brides getting ready at a hotel.....
I just saw the post about how to hang your dress so the train won't get wrinkled and thought of this incident....
At a hotel about a year ago, my friend was checking out of the hotel and heard this ear-piercing screech. She turned around from the front desk to see this girl running through the lobby with her hair all done up, wearing a veil. She was COVERED in black gook. She was screaming about her 7500 dollar wedding dress being ruined.
The following week, I happened to be overnight in the hotel and asked the van driver if he's known what happend. Apparently, the bride had hung her wedding gown from the overhead sprinkler in her room. The weight of the dress pulled the whole fixture from the wall and spewed the gunk from inside the pipes all over herself and her gown!!!!![]()
There's a sign next to those fixtures stating 'Do Not Hang Anything from Sprinkler' for reason......
