OMG! Thanks so much! FH just got a Fortunoff card and I have to go buy a shower gift tomorrow. Ooh, it gives me an excuse to buy something for myself to make up the $100! Yay!

They did this two months ago and I purchased my window treatments and got about 25 of those gift cards and bought the rest of our stuff from the registry.

Okay, but doesn't this part mean that it's not just a $25 gift card...You have to spend ANOTHER $100 in order to be able to use the card and get $25 off of the new $100 purchase...

That's really annoying!
I'm moving next week and have $850 on gift cards to spend (for items that were duplicates on my registry that Fortunoff messed up)

I have a few things left to buy but can't keep going back to play with these 'reward' cards.

Fortunoff is a big pain in the behind if you ask me. My registry was a total mess!

yup that's what it means-You have to spend another $100 or more and will be able to get $25 off of that purchase. They ran this promotion a few months ago (it was the first time they had done it) and realized that they were pretty much giving merchandise away (b/c people had so many of the cards) so they've changed it this time around.

Re: PSA: Fortunoff Reward Card Promotion

Okay, I just got back from Fortunoff's...

Here's the deal: you get them for every $100 that you spend. BUT, the dinnerware and crystal purchases DO NOT count toward RECEIVING the cards.

However, you can buy other stuff, receive the cards and then go back another day and use the cards toward your dinnerware or crystal purchase.

HOWEVER, they stamp each card with the date of 'tomorrow'. That is because you CANNOT use the cards on the same day that you receive them, even if you're going to make a different purchase...

edited to say: I purchased a bunch of my silver today. The girl gave me 11 $25 cards. I am going back tomorrow to buy a bunch of my crystal. I'll probably only use 4 or 5 of the cards. I know that I'm not spending any more than $500 on the crystal. And, I can only use one $25 card for each $100 that I spend...

oh, I wish I had done purchasing a couple months ago when they were giving actual GIFT CARDS...
