public shelter

There is a Border Collie/Spaniel mix (Female, 1-2 yrs. old) at the Town of Babylon Animal Shelter (West Babylon, NY) brought in as a stray, that is in danger of euthanasia. Border Collies do not do well in a shelter situation and she is not showing well in the kennel. They were going to put her down, but a kennel worker has gotten a reprieve temporarily and she is trying to show this dog outside of the kennel. This dog needs a rescue or foster home as soon as possible. Once out of the kennel she is a very nice dog. Please see her photo on Petfinders under Town of Babylon Shelter in New York. Her ID # is 88077. She is in cage 70. The phone number there is (631) 643-9270. Please give this dog the chance that she deserves.

Thanks,
Barbara

Re: public shelter

I wish I could help, but I have 2 dogs allready who I dont think will get along with another dog. Stuff like this makes me sooo sad. I hope someone out there helps you, if you know of anyone who is willing to foster her and you need donations for food please let me know. I will donate anything to help. I love animals. good luck!!!!

Re: public shelter

I adopted a border collie mix that didn't show well. I can't tell you what a fantastic dog she is! She is the sweetiest, gentlest dog in the world! Have they contacted the Border Collie Rescue Group - they may be able to help.
