I lived in PR for a few years and I do travel there one a year now. What part of PR are you planning to stay?

Re: puerto rico
Go the the Wyndham El San Juan Hotel and Casino! It is wonderful - tons of restaurants, bars, casino, ect. all inside the hotel!!! I went three years ago (it wasn't owned by Wyndham then) and it was amazing - very elegant. The Ritz Carlton is right down the street and that was beautiful too!

Re: puerto rico
Most of the hotels in San Juan are all beautiful and very nice. If you plan on going another part of PR other than San Juan (which I do recommend) I suggest you go down south to Guanica. They have a beautiful hotel & resort called CopaMarina.

I have been to the CERROMAR HYATT and it is absolutely gorgeous you will love it!! it is very secluded and you will need to take a taxi or rent a car to see some of the site or go to San Juan or Isla Verde, but if you just want to enjoy each other...then that's the spot!
The Hyatt Dorado if I remember is right next door..

I highly recommend the Condado Plaza. It is beautiful! It is right on the water and has a casino. There is also a bus stop right outside the hotel if you don't want to rent a car.

We stayed at the El Conquistador two years ago. I'd go back in a second. Great Spa and Restaurants!

We stayed at the San Juan marriott a couple of years ago. It was very nice- right on the beach- a must for me. There were a lot of restaurants in the area- I highly recommend Don Andres (great margaritas) and it was convenient to take a bus into San Juan.

Re: puerto rico
I have stayed at the El San Juan and Conquistador. Both are to die for. A bit pricy especially in season but worth every penny. I have family there so I have been a few times. Never a complaint.
