If you want to stay in San Juan, El Condado is pretty good. I hear El Conquistador is amazing too.

we stayed at the ramada for $99 its next to the condato it has a pool and the rooms are nice we were trying to save money plus its on the strip with all the hotels. you can walk to the condato to gamble, go dancing, shop and swim. check out jetblue for tickets they are cheap.

We stayed at the Ritz-Carlton. It was beautiful. If you can, try to stay on the Club Level. Some hotels refer to it as a concierge level. Overall, I thought Puerto Rico was ok. I definitely liked Mexico better. But I loved the hotel. The only problem was that you had to take a cab to the town.

The intercontinential is very nice - I was at the Condado for dinner (fish restaurant that is HIGHLY recommended - but it had a ton of High school kids running totally wild around the hotel - and although I loved the restaurant I would not necessarily recommend the hotel to stay at -

Oh, that is so funny about the kids because when we stayed there, they were having some kind of prom from the Dominican Republic ( weird, right?) and there were teens EVERYWHERE. We didn't care, though. We had a GREAT TIME!

You may want to check out the Hyatt Regency Cerromar Beach it's amazing with river pools, swim up bars, etc - it's about 20 minutes outside San Juan and has more of a resort feel than staying in San Juan itself-it has resturants, a casino, and dance club all on the premises. I love it there!
