Okay, so FH and I are WAY WAY WAY behind in deciding where to go on honeymoon! We are able to use one of my dad's RCI timeshare weeks, and are looking to go to Puerto Vallarta. I have heard mixed reviews on whether to go all-inclusive or not. FH and I think it will be easier, since we are probably going to spend most of our time on the resort with a few half day excursion tours. I don't want to go CRAZY while we are down there trying to figure out exchange rates and where to eat, and what's good and not good.
I need some suggestions ! ! !
The all inclusive hotels that we are able to stay in are . . . .
Club Velas Vallarta Casa Velas Boutique Hotel Grand Velas International Residence Vallarta Palace
The non all inclusives are . . . .
Mayan Palace Puerto Vallarta Mayan Palace Nuevo Vallarta Mayan Sea Garden Nuevo Vallarta The Grand Mayan Nuevo Vallarta
ANYONE have ANYTHING on these hotels? ? Or an opinion on whether to do All Inclusive or not?
TIA

Club Velas Vallarta is supposed to be wonderful, my ILs went while we were on our honeymoon (we had bonus weeks through RCI). They said it was beautiful and were impressed with it thoroughly (they are pretty hip, they go on more fun vacations than we do - and take advantage of nightlife).
We met a couple using another RCI week in Cabo who went there on their honeymoon and had a great time as well.

I don't know anything about those hotels, but we always prefer doing the all inclusive thing. Its just way more convenient, and I think it works out quite a bit cheaper than if you went out... maybe not so much for the food, but definately for drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).

The Grand Velas is the top rated hotel in Peurto Vallarta isn't it? We are thinking of going there because when we asked my parents for suggestions they said that was one of the best places they've ever been...and they travel ALOT. There are no negative reviews on Trip Advisor...
I vote All-Inclusive GRand Velas

The Palace Resorts are amazing. They are a top quality chain of resorts with delicious food and outstanding service. I would go to Vallarta Palace!!!

My FILs just came back from Vallarta Palace and they HIGHLY recommend it! Not a single complaint - they were pampered the whole time. And they have been to so many places - and I think this was their favorite.
I have never been there but for me I always prefer A/I -they are just so great!
