That's the info I am trying to find!!!!!!!! I have a pure bred pug. Pugs tend to have very horrible breathing problems. I was irate when the idiot puggle came out. Then on sunday a woman approached me as I was walking Oscar and told me about the Bug.
I want to see one for myself.

HEY ARE ALL JUST MUTTS, SAYS LITTLE SHELTER PRESIDENT

From notables to nobodies, the designer dog has become the must-have pet. While truly nothing more than a mixed breed, dogs like Schnoodles – Schnauzer Poodles crosses – and Puggles – mixes of Pugs and Beagles – each fetch thousands of dollars for the breeder but are now beginning to demonstrate medical and behavioral problems.

“Many purebred dogs often display undesirable traits because of previous inbreeding,” says Maryann Chernovsky, president of Little Shelter. “Now, because designer dogs have become so popular and lucrative, many people are putting together certain breeds irresponsibly with no thought given to possible negative characteristics.”

When designer dogs demonstrate food aggression or a medical problem, owners then turn them into the local shelters – many of them traditional kill facilities.

“We have received an incredible number of these dogs over the last few months,” says Maryann. “Fortunately, we provide medical and behavioral treatment and find them excellent forever homes. These dogs are the lucky ones. Their parents are usually bred in abusive puppy mill environments, while many of their siblings are put to death in kill shelters.”

Maryann’s tough stance struck a cord with the media as the press descended on Little Shelter to interview her about the designer dog problem. Her message to all: They are all just mutts. For a reasonable fee, you can adopt a beautiful one-of-a-kind mixed breed at Little Shelter or your local animal shelter. While all the press was excited to relay Maryann’s message to the public, longtime WCBS-TV reporter John Slattery was particularly interested and did an extensive piece for the evening news. As he said good-bye to Maryann and the little mixed breed pup she was holding, Mr. Slattery stated, “Little Shelter is just wonderful; I cannot wait to come back here again.”

I love that I have Victor's approval, but I must give credit where credit is due. Tricia suggested Dot and I took it to the next level, a la Pee Wee.
