Has anyone ever been to punta cana in the dominican republic, we are staying at breezes resort, just wanted to get some reviews.thanks

Danielle and I stayed there last summer. We stayed at Sunscape the Beach. Our travel agent said it was a resort for families and we had told her that we wanted adults only, but we couldnt afford to stay at Secrets, and that was the resort that got the best reviews....So basically I would say Punta Cana was beautiful - the resort that is. Otherwise it is very poor.
The resorts food was average to ok...The Pool and entertainment were excellent......Danielle and I had a good time, it was our year anniversary trip.
I enjoyed Punta Cana, but I probably wouldnt go back there. If I was going to goto another all inclusive, I would stay at a Sandals resort. We stayed at Sandals Grande St Lucian in St Lucia on our honeymoon and it was the most amazing vacationwe ever took.
I heard very good things about Breezes.....though. I am sure you will have an excellent time. Make sure you check out tripadvisor.com for reviews, and other advice about what you will need for the trip, etc. That site really helped me out.
One word of advice...One week b4 your trip, and for the whole time you are in Punta Cana, I recommend taking AcidPhilious (SP). Everyone I spoke to including my doctor said to take this. A lot of people get sick from the food in Punta Cana, and this basically will help you not get sick. You just take one pill right before each meal. Danielle and I did this and we were fine.
My other word of advice, is to take something to protect you from bugs, just not an aerosol can...they wont let you take that on the plane.
