Punta Cana Honeymoon

Hi I am trying to choose between The Majestic Elagance Club and the Excelance in Punta Cana.
If anyone has ever stayed at either one of these resorts please post some feedback. Or if you have been anywhere in Punta Cana please let me know how it is?

definitly don't go to excellence.

I go to Punta Cana every year and stay at the Paradisus Punta Cana (we went this Feb and had the most amazing time, like a honeymoon) we'll, my girlfriend wanted to go because we always rave about it but she saw Excellence was rated 5 star and Paradisus only 4 star. Her experience was awful and I saw the pics to prove it, the beach was disgusting, garbarge everywhere, she said the food was horrible, the pool was unkept and the place was run down. They bought out an older resort and didn't do much renovations. She said they had to walk like a mile to get to a clean beach.

My other friend stayed I believe at the majestic elegance (if that is a really new resort) and although she had a great time (first time away with boyfriend) she said it wasn't that good because it wasn't really completed yet, the service was a little shaky, etc.

I would highly recommend the Paradisus Punta Cana. After our honeymoon, we decided we are never going anywhere else ever again.

I haven't been to that resort...but I just have to add in that Punta Cana is a gorgeous vacation. I stayed at Occidental Punta Cana and loved it! I've known people that have stayed at various other resorts in Punta Cana and raved. It's a gorgeous place to visit.

Majestic Colonial!!! I stayed there for my honeymoon and it was amazing!

We went to the Majestic Colonial - pics in album.
We had a nice time but hit bad weather for the majority of our stay Elegance Club was still under construction - we didn't get to tour it.
