Punta Cana or Aruba...Honeymoon

Hi Ladies!

FH and I are trying to decide where we shall go for our HM...initially we where going to MX, but now with everything going on we've nixed that trip

Punta Cana or Aruba? Do you gyals have a favorite? Also, what hotels did you stay at?

Any insight/advice would be great...we have to make a decision by EOD

I would say Aruba because in Punta Cana you will mostly have to stay on the resort, In Aruba you can venture out and do excursions.

ITA!!! Me and FH went to Punta Cana a few years ago and although we loved it, it got a little annoying that we couldnt leave the resort. We chose to go to Aruba for our Honeymoon bc it's safe to travel all around and do different things. HTH

We're gonna stay at the Hyatt. Orbitz is offering really good prices to Aruba right now. We booked months ago and now our package is about $300 less.

I haven't been to either, so i'm not help

but Fh and i are going to punta cana for our hm

my fsil went to aruba and they loved, i've heard positive things about both, so you really can't go wrong

fh and i just got a better deal going to punta cana, and we didn't want to go to the same place as his sister

ditto I have been to both but Punta Cana by far blows aruba away. You can totally leave the resort in Punta Cana and do excursions. We have taken Quad trips though town and on the beaches, tours, we go to night clubs and casinos off of our resort as well as the ones on our resort. We walk miles down the beaches. We have stayed 3 times at the Paradisus Punta Cana and after our honeymoon, we have decided to only go back their since we have been to so many Islands and this by far has the nicest beaches.

Aruba you can rent a car and drive around the island, but there was really not much to see and do, we found it to be a waste of a day.

Punta Cana -- Very lush beautiful flowers and very tropical, Palm tree lined beaches, lots of culture

Aruba -- a desert, not much grows the water is beautiful and so is the beach (gets very windy in April)

You can't go wrong with either but we prefer Punta Cana (also cheaper and closer if that is important to you.) HTH
