Get him a couple Nylabones for teething. (Not Gumabone...DH has had to surgically remove pieces of these because they can break apart, but not Nylabone).\

You may want to have some bitter apple spray or some other type of spray that you can put on moldings or cabinets if he starts to chew at them (it's been so long, I can't remember what we used)...but I do still have teeth marks on my moldings in my kitchen

ditto on the Bitter Apple and Nylabones! We must have gone through a gallon of Bitter Apple in Golem's first month home! We also kept Golem in the kitchen at first - invest in a very well made child safety gate if you don't already have one. We got a pressure mounted one, so it was easy to take up and nothing was permanently drilled into the wall. Lots of Nature's Miracle - because you WILL be cleaning up puppy pee/poo on an hourly basis! Whatelse.... oh, OUTLET SAFETY COVERS!!!!! We went to Babies R' Us and stocked up on the child locks, safety gate and outlet covers and I was glad we did! His first day home he licked every outlet in the room bc they were the only thing at his eye level! Those are very good to have too!

Also, any wires that might be on the floor, keep those away from your pup - they will be chewed! Best of luck to you!!!

Re: Puppy Proofing your house????

We actually did the bulk of our puppy-proofing shopping at Babies R Us! :) We got our safety gate there for only $19.99 - MUCH cheaper than the gates sold at Petco! There was a better selection too, and we figured we can use it on the puppy now and then again once we have children

Good luck!!

For the gate and stuff, check out Walmart, we got our gate there for $10.....

And I ditto the cords, Lucy has chewed through 2 power cords, luckily they werent plugged in either time.

Good Luck!
