My puppy is 7 months old. Very playful, VERY mischievous!...just wondering...does everybody's puppy just TEAR ASS through the house sometimes? Back and forth at full speed? She's not chasing anything, but she has these spurts for like a 5 minute period and then conks out. IT's the cutest thing, but I have never had a puppy and I am concerned that she particularly likes to do this after she eats?

Um...my dog passed away at 14 and a half...and she STILL did that at that age!!!
Buckle down...you have a few years of that craziness!!!
But you have to admit...it may look crazy...but it is funny as hell!!!!!!!

is your puppy crated or locked in a room? sometimes they get 'Pent' up energy and if they didnt go for a walk or run they run the house

My dogs do this ALL the time!! we call it the freak out!!! its so cute.. the vet says its TOTALLY normal..
He does it often...but it is more likely to happen if he has not had much activity...although he has been running 3-5 miles with me daily and still does this...

That brings back memories of my cocker spaniel as a pup! We'd be playing with him in the yard & he'd start running full speed back and forth until he tired himself out. I'd never seen anything like it & we'd be rolling on the grass hysterical. I miss those days. He's still active, but nothing like that. Enjoy them while they last, they certainly go quickly!!

Mine does the same thing, even when he's been active and had lots of attention. He just turned seven months as well, on the first.

We have a three year old lab and he does this all the time. He will tear it up, stop look at me and I will say 'Go!' and he does it again. It is a little game we play! Almost like playing Red Light Green Light 1-2-3!!! Its very comical!
