Think about the ASPCA commercial before you go to bed. All those animals that need a good home.

PLUS...Remember all dogs go to heaven and you just sent that one a little sooner.

She stated that the dog went back to a home, where the owner will be keeping the dog until it finds a new home. Finding a new home does not a tombstone make.

pits are actually amazing, loving totally loyal dogs, they also are less likely to bite than a smaller breed dog, or even a golden retriever. imo..do your research.. they are great family dogs.

and by the way, pit bulls are known to be the best kind of breed to get for a family bc they are incredibly loyal to their owners.

ok sorry i just read through the whole post and realized you had to give it back

i think you made the right decision...the reason dogs end up in pounds is bc people think they can take care for them when they cannot, not bc they are selfish! you were smart enough to realize that you cannot give 100% to this animal.

Just read this whole post...The dog was adorable, but I totally understand why you gave it back to the original owner. You did the right thing...

wow that puppy is gorgeous.. the color is awesome.
sorry it didnt work out but you made the right decision. if you arent ready for a dog than you shouldnt keep it because in the end the dog would be the one who gets hurt by not having enough love and attention.

I am a huge animal lover and own 2 dogs and 2 cats. I have a pit bull and she is the sweetest,most loving dog in the world-- I think the most selfish thing a person can do is keep an animal that they feel that they are not ready to take care of. ---(this will get me in trouble) its same as planning to have a kid when you cant support it. I think she did the right thing--the best thing for the animal. You cant force someone to want something they dont---that just makes everyone miserable.

Wow- Just read this whole post... Cute Pup for sure, but I totally think FallBride, you did the right thing. For all the same reasons other people have mentioned already. As you once told me 'they are channging your words around and love drama so just let it go'. We all knew what you meant.

I think for anyone to say to another engaged couple it isn't going to work out. Is down right WRONG and NASTY! People are entitled to their opinion on a lot of things but THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM. How could someone say something so terrible. They serisouly should be banned from LIW for a comment like that. I have never met you, nor know you any other way but LIW, and it certainly seems to me, that you have gone above and beyond in your relationship and I totally respect that.

don't let this person or anyother LIW stalker or whomever get your down. You are wayyyy to good of a person to have to deal with this crap!

You made the right decision.. i have two dogs of my own & wish i could have more, but they are a big responsibility.. especially the vet bills .. & with saving for a wedding that is not an added expense you need at the moment... maybe when you are ready and they time is right you guys can get another dog

Thanks everyone! I knew I was making the right decision. I told FH after the wedding we can discuss a dog...but right now I am not ready to deal with it.

And I think you are right...the newbie is probably the same person that is continuously starting drama by digging up all my old posts!
