Purchasing Make-up for my mom?

Purchasing Make-up for my mom?

Here is another question I need help in...

My mother refuses to have a make-up artist on our wedding day. She says that I can purchase make-up and do it herself. She would spend the same amount but she will have the make-up that's purchased to last for many months, instead of someone applying and she is left with nothing but a pretty face for a day. I am not much of a make-up person. So....

My question is where should I take her to purchase make up?
I was thinking about MAC. They can show her and tell her what she needs. Any Suggestions.

TIA,

Mitzi

Lancome or Clinique, I find the mac foundations a bit heavy for everyday use...

i agree with Lancome. Mac colors can be more for dramatic looks and stuff. Depending on how she does her make up. I like Lancome, but you can also take her to lets say bloomies and go around from counter to counter to see what she likes best.

Will they try it on her? I think my sis in law went to the Mac store and they did her make up then she purchased what she liked. Does Lancome do the same?

How about Bobbi Brown?
