purple and green cake? !

So I just met with the woman who's doing my cake. . and she let us try this green tea flavor that was really mild and REALLY delicious. . so we tell her our colors are Purple/Ivory with green accents and she says. . oh I can make you a purple and green cake (on the INSIDE) she has developed a new purple cake that is colored by this type of yam but supposedly doesn't taste like it at all! So how cool would that be to cut INTO a cake and see your colors..

then she also told us that purple and green are colors for prosperity which made me laugh (b/c as u may now, that has NOT been my recent situation) but also hope b/c maybe it's an auspicious start for our new life!!

but what do you think? Is that a wierd cake color for inside???

I think its cool. Just don't go on My Fair Weddings.

I would go for it though. How unique. And personally I like the colors together. Especially with the green being accents.

Taste the cake first though, make sure it really doesn't taste like yams.

Yeah I will TOTALLY taste it first. b/c I HATE yams

I was actually hoping to go on my fair weddings just so he would pay for stuff. . I could totally pretend to have really bad taste!

I have a friend who is from the Philippines (well her family) and they make a certain cake, I've been eating it since HS at all their birthdays and at her wedding and it is completely PURPLE on the inside.
Anyone know what I'm talking about lol?
