pushing back wedding..

pushing back wedding..

last week i had posted asking for the famous LIW prayers since fh and i r going through a really rough time. i appreciate all the support that i got from u girls. fh and i have been talking and trying to enjoy eachothers company like we used to while ignoring the stress of both a wedding and a new home. with july 10 being just 132 days away fh brought up those dreaded words of pushing back the wedding. the selfish side of me thinks that after being together for 8 years the day i have been waiting for is right around the corner. we r in the home stretch now and i wish it was tomorrow because i know this is right. the day was going to be bautiful even if it rains i believe we planned a beautiful wedding. but in reality i know that this is what fh wants and i need to support his feelings. he just feels that with the date being so close there r more things to plan and pay for that we wont be able to focus on US. it also worries me to think what people r going to think/say when we mention we need to push the wedding back..how r we going to get all of our vendors to be available the same day next july..how will we deal with losing some money.. sorry i just need to vent to someone other than my mother .. thank you for listening

Everything in life happens for a reason. At the end of the day it is about you and him. A wedding is a day. The marriage is a lifetime. All the details of vednors and such will work out. It would not be worth keeping you date if it impacts your relationship negatively. As for what everyone else thinks, F*** them. Its about the two of you. You can be honest but not tell them everything at the same time. A wedding is too much right now with a house. Waiting a year will let us enjoy the wedding and the moment more.

girl...know exactly what you mean....our original date was Dec 4th 2009 and we moved it to May 28th 2010. We needed the extra months to figure things out ..how we would pay for things....you shouldnt be assamed to tell people you have to push the wedding back. Ths was one of my concerns as well..what would people say or even think. But let me just say...people understood...there is nothing to be assamed about,,,you have to be comfortable with your finances....the worst thing to do is put yourself in a hole....good luck...oh and one more thing....my vendors all transfered the contracts with no problem and we lost no money.

I'm sorry that you have to deal with this sweety. You just need to focus on you right now, don't worry or stress about what other people might think/say. You don't have to explain yourself to anyone. Everything happens for a reason, in the end it'll all work out.

I'm so sorry. I was originally a July 2010 bride too and we felt that it was best to hold off to 2011. Just go with what you feel is right!

I'm sorry that you are dealing with this right now Don't worry what other people think, The Wedding day is about you and your FH, you don't want to have other things on your mind that day. It will all work out, if you get married tomorrow, july or 10 years from now you have to do what's best for the both of you

I'm sorry that you are going through this. It's best to just focus on what you both want. Try not to worry about what other people will say. They are not the ones who are planning on spending their lives together, you are. Good luck sweetie and hope everything works out.

Awwwww!! I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. But please try to remember that the importance is not your wedding day, it's your relationship. And if anyone asks why you're pushing it back, just say it's cause of the $$ and if they go on about it and make you uncomfortable, ask them if they'd like to chip in...That should shut them up real quick. My thoughts and prayers are with both you and FH

Everything will work out... it may be a little bit of a pain to push back everything and find a date all of your vendors are available next year but if it means saving your relationship then it is all worth it...

So sorry to hear your news. You never know if most of your vendors could still be available. If you have put deposits down they can honor them and then you can calmly make decisions. If some of the vendors are busy they generally have understudies (photogs) and they can be a better price and you can save money in the end.

Enjoy yourselves and the process.

super twin!!

i'm so sorry..but if this will help you it's meant to be-don't worry about what others will say, worry about what's right for you and fh

im sure the vendors won't have any problem moving things, and it will just make it that much more meaningful with everything when all is said and done

let me know if you need anything!!
