Pushy/Inapprop Vendors

Pushy/Inapprop Vendors

Has anyone experienced this?

I met with a couple of vendors for photography, hotel, DOC which I feel like is normal.

We made our decisions, and informed everyone via email/phone.

Now I'm getting emails about what was the exact reason I didn't pick a certain one.

Also, another one calls me and gives a major tude when I tell them who I wound up going with and like an 'ok' as in 'ok you'll regret it.'

I know times are tough, but this is ridic! It's business! People go with certain vendors for a variety of reasons!

What should I do??

I got this from one photographer. He was really trying to be nice about it but the emails became annoying so I just blocked the email. lol.

you dont HAVE to do anything... you dont really owe them an explaination... although from their point of view i can understand why they would want one... maybe its something they are willing to change or compromise on...

I've gotten that from a dj company. They were really upset about me not going with them and hung up on me... how rude!

You should let us know who they are so we don't work with them in the future.

Re: Pushy/Inapprop Vendors

I have received many pushy phone calls from one dj company, who I unfortunately don't remember, and even after we told them who we booked with he continued to call and had the nerve to ask if 'we were sure' about our dj because it is a really important aspect of the day. Since I don't remember who it was I wouldn't speculate, but they were awful.

Re: Pushy/Inapprop Vendors

I got that from a few photographers, where even AFTER I told them we booked they still send me emails

at the liweddings showcase FH and I were walking around and got to the last aisle where this photographer liked jumped at us and we said we've already booked.. he started YELLING at us (surprised noone noticed) saying that 'EVERYONE KEEPS TELLING ME THIS!? WHY? HOW ARE YOU BOOKED?' he went on and on, it was scary.

we stepped out to get dinner, then went back for the raffle and decided to walk through again, we passed this guy and he like HUFFED at us
(no clue who he was, he had an accent though)

I think your best bet is to block the email addresses and if you can, block the phone numbers. Is it the same vendor calling or is it several?

Re: Pushy/Inapprop Vendors

I had one RH who kept calling up to 6 months after I decided to go with someone else! I just don't answer the phone so that I don't have to deal with it.

You don't have to do anything. You did the right thing by telling them that you went with someone else, that's pretty much all they need to know.

I also had this experience with a DJ company. If anyone wants to know who, please FM me, I am happy to tarnish their name after a disgusting experience with them.

Hi,

I am just reading your post now. WOw, that is crazy. Would you be able to tell me which Vendors did that because I am in the process of looking for all vendors. All I have booked is the RH.

Thanks in advance :)

Re: Pushy/Inapprop Vendors

I haven't experienced outright pushy behavior from the vendors I've reached out to, but I do know one vendor I talked to at a Bridal Expo/Showcase contacted me via email once and at first I ignored it because I was running around and my BB was buzzing. I forgot about the email (although I had that DJ's contact info in my list of possible vendors to call for appointment scheduling) and then about 3 days later I get a SECOND email from the same DJ company (they are located on Old Country Road in Carle Place) asking me if I had a chance to review their recent mailing (I hadn't.). Nothing after that..

Another company had the nerve to email me 3x in the span of 2 weeks and in their 3rd email said 'Well since you haven't responded, we will assume you have already booked with another DJ.'

Like, HELLO..I haven't even made appointments for DJ's yet!! I already narrowed my list of DJ's based on this feedback alone!!
