Did anyone ever get up to about 6 months before her wedding and then have to put it off for a long time (like say 2 extra years) for a personal reason? If so, or if you know someone who did, would you mind messaging me and telling me how your hall/vendors responded?
Thanks

Re: Putting Off Wedding
Check your contracts but depending on the circumstance I am sure most vendors/venues would be okay with rebooking for a future date perhaps with a minimal penalty fee if that. Sorry to hear!

Re: Putting Off Wedding
I just had a similar question like this. We are 8 months from the wedding. The biggest question was the recption hall, basically what they told us was that if they can rebook our room, they will give us our money back minus 10%, or minus the difference if they had to book for a lesser price. Also, if we did rebook for a later date, we would only be able to keep the deposit if they rebooked our original date. basically FH and I felt this was taking a gamble and decided that we would not change our date since we are about 10K into our receptional hall payments.

Re: Putting Off Wedding
If the RH is in Suffolk County, your hall is required to refund all but either $75 or $100 (I forget which) and you are not obligated for any further payment.
Nassau County or NYC has no such law.

Check your contracts but I think most should be ok with changing the date. They might want to know the date up front though.
