I have a bunch of people coming from upstate (or atleast I hope they are coming, it's all FH's family) is there a tasteful way to put that there could be a charter bus to take them down here if there are enough people. (I need to know this before I book someone) AND that there will be transportation from the hall to the hotel if its needed. Any ideas????

Hi KP, I put this in our STD as a seperate page. It said For guests traveling from Syracuse, NY, the xxxx family will be arranging a charter bus to transport you from Syracuse to the hotel in Long Island.

Once they got some responses, my FILs arranged for a bus to seat 56 people. I have pics of my STD in my digital camera, I just have to figure out how to download them into my computer.

So a bunch of people decided to make the trip to 'scary country'? What percentage decided to come??
Im worried that no one from FH's family is going to make the trip. And I really dont want to go over my 100 people min. I dont want to be paying a lot more $$. If all his family comes then I would be inviting 130.

I got stuck in the same situation, I figured a lot of FHs family would not come, so we overestimated. Our guarentee is 150, our current guest list is at something like 200 Beware the bus , if you make it easy for them a lot of the upstate family will come! Of course, this is all based on FMILs estimates, the invites have not gone out yet. Judging from the reaction to the STDs, looks like a lot of them are coming, but you never know.

I think the separate insert is a great idea. I've just begun to make my STD's. I just hope his family comes. FH didnt go to most of their weddings(he just told me this) so I dont know if they are gonna come.
