do I need to put obvious pics on there, like all BMs with Bride?

Oh- and like how many is too many pics to have on there?? My list is long and I have been doing it for like 20 mins!

Put down the obvious ones, they are so obvious that they could get forgotten.
Put as many down as you want, its your day and you should get every picture that is important to you!

Here are some idea's:

GETTING READY
Bride's clothes hanging on the wardrobe, on the bedpost, or over a chair
Bride and bridesmaids getting dressed, applying makeup
Mom helping bride with one last detail, such as veil
Full-length shot of bride in gown checking herself out in mirror
Detail of clothing, shoes, garter, something borrowed, something blue
shot of bride with parents
shot of bride with sibling
Bride hugging honor attendant
Bride with bridesmaids
Bride with all the women
Groom getting ready with Dad and pals (tying the tie is a classic) (can this be done at the church)
groom with parents
groom with sibling(s)
Groom with his arm affectionately around best man
Groom with all the groomsmen
Groomsmen putting on boutonnieres or bowties

THE CEREMONY
Ushers escorting guests to their seats
Ushers escorting moms and special female guest to their seats

No problem, glad I could help!

That is the list we used!!! And we added and deleted some.

Some advice:
Add everyone's names to the list also. It really helped when our photgrapher needed someone, they knew what name to call instead of 'hey you' or next BM'.

oh and most important too for the cocktail hour when you are taking pictures make sure you right the names of the people you want pictures of so the photographers assistant can get them from the cocktail hour fast and not asking everyone do you know who the brides uncle is? tip from my DOC. oh duh it would help to read all post sorry

I would be as specific as you can. a friend of mine got married in June and TONS of pics werent taken because she didnt think to tell them. she thought they would just know what to take (thank god i found LIW, a site she DIDNT use!) pics of her grandparents werent taken!! could you imagine not having pics of your grandparents?!??! i would of been soo upset. im giving my photographer LOTS of pics... if you are going to spend that much money for someone to take pics for you, you might as well get your moneys worth.

I put all of the obvious ones on the list and went over it with the photographer. I just told him that I wanted to sure we were 'on the same page.' It turned out that the family shots that we wanted weren't standard. (My cousin had them at her wedding so I assumed that they were.) I really saved us from a headache on that day.
