Putting/Put together your own Pocketfold invites...anyone?

I am really into the pocketfold thing, and I think mygatsby has good prices. However, you are required to put together your own invite.

I am a very crafty girl and am making alot of things for the wedding. However, this one makes me nervous.

Anyone put them together? What was your experience?

i've been in love with the pocketfold invite, too!

i'm a DIY-er, and an art school grad--here's what i recommend---go to Kate's paper--buy the materials so you can make 3 at home. Kate is by far--THE MOST EXPENSIVE place to buy these--but if you work in the city, it might be faster to go to Kate's than to order samples online.

A site where i have received the best quote so far, is: www.montageinvitations.com

i plan on printing all the pieces myself and designing everything too. For 200 invites, including postage costs, it comes right under $500 <$496 to be exact>

The only other incremental cost will be printer cartridges for my home printer.

I've done a lot of research on pocketfolds--FM me if you have any other questions!

I too became obsessed with pocketfold invites from envelopments. I researched this a lot. Mygastby.com is a great site. They'll send you samples and you get to see so mnay of the colors. I priced it out on several websites and even with me assembling them, they'd be really expensive.
I found another company, Paper Prince, that I'll have to either get printed at Kinko's or print myself. They were about $400. I really wish I could have gottten the envelopements but in reality, everyone eventually throws them away! I just coulnd't justify for myself. These, with a little customization and work, will be a great sustitute. I added a pic so that you can get an idea. The colors are a bit differnet in person butyou get the idea.
