My FSIL's friend does hair and sent me her prices. Bride: Trial is $130.00 and Day of is $150.00(usually charges $200.00). BP: $95.00 updo, blowout $60(with curls add $10) Do these prices sound expensive or is this the going rate? I was origally going to go to my bridal salon and have them open early for my day time wedding. Their prices were cheaper, but I felt that I may want some pictures of getting ready with my photographer. I feel like I am so behind with hair/makeup!! Should I just go to my salon and say the heck with the getting ready photo's??

Even her reduced rate for you is a little high. I'm getting my hair and makeup done for $175, and my BP is $75 each for hair or makeup.

They sound about right...but I don't think you are getting any kind of 'deal' by going with your FSIL's friend.

Hair for me is $200. Makeup is also $200. Trial was $150. BM's would have been like $85 for each service but I thought that was too much for them so I told them to just get their done wherever. To me the pricing sounds pretty good. Although I don't get the extra $10 for curls thing. 90% of updo's require some sort curling.

I think its crazy expensive. My hair was 75 for the day of and same for my trial.

I think it is a bit high, I have seen trials for $75. Shop around some more.

My trial was $75 and day of is $100. MOH is $100 for an updo and JrBM and FG (keep in mind are 7 and 9) are $75 each! It's crazy because I don't think of them having $75 worth of hair - lol. But it's a great place and love the girl who is styling us. I called around a few other salons and they were higher then this. I would go with what is important to you, having pictures getting ready or saving money and going somewhere you know.

That seems a bit high. I paid $30.00 for my hair trial and $40 to get my hair done for my wedding. My stylist did an amazing job. My hair was perfect all night. I did airbrush makeup which cost $100

OMG Gina you took it out of my mouth... I am getting hair and makeup (airbrush) done for 275 (which comes out to like 130 each) and for the BMs its between 65-85 for hair and 60-80 for makeup
