Q about WW

I am finally going to do ww. everything has such good things to say about it. If I am 5'3 and 144, how fast do you think i am going to be able to lose 20 lbs on ww? I hear some people lose 2 lbs a week, some more, some less. Is there anyone with my goal who has been on it? Is there a ww online i can do instead of going to the actual place? I am sorry for all these questions, but I need to do something at this point. Oh, one more... I am running 1 mile a day and doing cardio kickboxing 3 x a week.... will this speed up my weight loss? thank you for you help!!!!

Re: Q about WW

Jenn, I'm no expert, but I'll try to help you.

There is a WW online, goto www.weightwatchers.com and you can join there. The only bad thing is it doesn't keep you as motivated b/c you know you don't have to actually go to get weighed in. If you are motivated then I say do it though.

Second, everyone has a different metabolism, etc. so no 2 people lose weight the same way. I have to say I have lost 28 lbs from Jan. on a semi WW plan (not really counting points but eating small meals/snacks all day, lots of water) & I allow myself to cheat on the weekends.

I just joined the gym 2 weeks ago & I noticed a difference even in those 2 weeks.

When I've joined WW in the past I found to usually lose 5-8 lbs that first week then usually followed by 1-2 lbs weekly thereafter.

I think they tell you not to worry about working out until 2-3 weeks into the program.

Good luck!

Re: Q about WW

I started in Febuary and have lost 8 pounds so far. I average about a pound a week. It is slow and steady but I know I am losing the right way. Stick with it and you will def see results. I go to the meetings and I believe it really helps me a lot. Good Luck!

Re: Q about WW

in 2001 it helped me lose 45 lbs in about 6 months. when i gained 15 of those back I rejoined 7 weeks ago and have lost 10 lbs.

For me, it helps to have a formula to follow. but the plan only works when you DO the work. i've learned how to eat out and make better decisions at home. plus, weekly weigh-ins make me more accountable.

if you want to do the work, i think WW is the best plan out there.

Hey Girls,
My name is Alma and I'm new to this site. I too am looking into joining WW. About how much does it cost to join. Is it worth it to join if I just wanna lose 20lbs?
