Sorry that it took me all day to post the QOTD, but I was at work all day and don't have access to a computer.
So today's question (which might have been asked already) what do you think was worth the splurge at your wedding and wasn't worth it?
For the girls that aren't married yet, you can answer what you are splurging on

My splurge that was not necesary but to me worth it was the candy bar...I loved the look and everyone loved the candy. The one thing that I shouldnt have splurged on was the rolls royce leaving the RH nobody saw us and we have not one picture of us with it...biggest waste of money EVER!!!

Our band was the best money we spent. They were so worth the $$$. I had people telling ,me all night how awesome they were and everyone time we see someone for the first time since the wedding they say the same thing.
Although they were beautiful in hindisght I probably could have gotten our flowers cheaper. But I loved my florist (we just clicked) and I didn't even bother to shop around.

We upgraded to the more expensive meal choices (we did a buffet) so there was TONS of food, the whole seafood bar at the CH, and the VH, and I am so glad we did. This was really my dad's doing since he wanted lobster at the CH, and it just really, really made the entire day more glamorous (food-wise) than I ever imagined it could be. And the food was soooooo good! People are still talking about it months later!!
I was... how shall I put this... industrious as far as the rest of my spending went, and really didn't spend a lot on much else. The limo was a huge hit taking guests from the hotel in the morning and the limo bus they loved going back to the hotel. Favors, I'm still thrilled with. Flowers were only $1k so it definitely wasn't a splurge there. I DIY'd the escort cards and the programs...
Honestly, I wish we hadn't spent so much on our officiant. I had priced out several and they were all $750 and since we only had 4 months until our wedding at that point, I felt like that was how much it was going to be. I found out later than it was possible to get an interfaith officiant (we needed a male for FIL) for $500... I would've rather saved the extra money for those services. But that's really nit-picky at this point lol.
Good question! Made me really think!

I spent a lot on all of the little personalized extras and details and it was worth it! Also, my other splurge was on buying a 2nd dress to replace the first one and that was the BEST thing that I did because I felt like I finally had my princess gown!

I can't really say splurged on anything for the wedding itself. But I think my favorite splurge is our very looooooong HM! I can't wait - 3 weeks in Hawaii! YAY

I can't just pick one. I think everything was absolutely worth it. My fave though- our 3 week honeymoon in Europe!

Worth the splurge....all the little 'extras' that my DOC did....the bathroom toiletry basket, slipper basket, welcome baskets for the guest who stayed at the hotel, etc. people LOVED them!
AND the linens....sooo worth paying extra for the beautiful overlays and napkins to complete my decor.
AND the dance lessons...oh that was money well spent! Our first dance really wowed everyone and we had such fun dancing together at the studio every week and practicing at home.
Not worth the splurge....ughhh my dress alterations! I paid waaaaay too much I just went with the first person I tried and didn't shop around. She was a nightmare, it was a disaster,... but I took my dress the day before my wedding to the local dry cleaner and for $15 (he felt sorry for me bc I was in near-hysterics!) he fixed her $450 mistakes! Lesson learned....shop around!

My band was the absolute best splurge. They were phenomenal. People are still raving about them. Worth every penny and more. I am so sad I can't go to the So Ho Gov. ball this weekend to dance the night away to them. I love them.
As for things I would not splurge on... hmmm.... thats a tough one. I really thought through everything and am pretty happy with all the results. I don't think I would do anything different.
