wedding vows..... are you writting your own or how are you working this out during your ceremony?
A) i dont speak well in front of others, i get nervous and speak really fast where no one can understand what i am saying... We are going with the quick i do... lol My FH is a romantic and wanted to... The officiants who are marrying us even offered to say them for us... To me, its just not the same... Guess i am selfish in that sense

We are not writing our vows. Our church actually gave us 15 or 20 ceremonies to select from or mix and match. The vows in each are pretty unique...its going to be hard to choose.

We are not writing our vows but we are having a custom ceremony. I was raised Roman Catholic but my father is Greek Orthodox. FH is Jewish. Neither one of is religious but we want to honor all of our heritages, so we are using bits and pieces of each wedding ceremony. I've been working on the ceremony this week. So far I have:
- Opening remarks from officiant (justice of the peace & family friend) - First reading (a friend is going to interview both me and FH and write a short piece) - Roman Catholic vows - Greek Orthodox crowning - Presentation of the Ketubah/7 Jewish Blessings - Pronunciation as husband and wife - Breaking of the glass!
We are going to use our cousins who are not in the wedding party to read short explanations of each of the customs.

We are not writing our own vows. I also get very shy when talking on front of people. I will probably mess up along the way regardless!

Fh wanted to have our own vows but I am so not a good public speaker. Our officiant is so great. She is saying what we want to to each other. So fh and I are both happy! Our ceremony is customed to us. I love it!

We're not writing our own vows. It is just way too emotional for me to say withour crying.

Not saying our own. FH doesn't like public speaking. O well! Im still going to write my own and give it to him after the ceremony.

Nope, we are using the old fashion I Do's. I am very shy and terrible at conveying my emotions on paper so it was a No for Me!

haha I am the same way! I think we might each write 4 sentences about one another and give it to officiant to read for us...

We are not doing our vows but we may personalize the ceremony. I dont think I would be able to get through my vows w/o crying LOL

We are writing our own. I wanted everything in our wedding to have our personality in it.
