Besides your big vendors, like venue/reception, photography/videography, flowers, music, transportation, what's been your biggest guilty pleasure splurge IF ANY for your wedding?
I've had a few and am now feeling I have to reign it in, (can't manage that yet!) but I'd say,(1) my dress - which I quickly got over, but now it's (2) invitations and (3) SHOES!!!
We knew we wanted letterpress. Both FI and I are kind of strangely into paper/stationary/PENS ever since both of us were kids coincidentally... hahaha Who would have known I'd be spending so much time deciding whether or not to just splurge and get matching hand calligraphy for our envelopes that are ridiculously priced. The girls got great handwriting! We know its a lot and as much as some invites, but we want them! Still don't know what to do... I wish I stuck to practicing calligraphy as a kid and kept my handwriting neat!
I already bought an awesome but expensive pair of comfy shoes and was completely content. BUT I stood next to my teen nieces who are in my bridal party and they had a growth spurt! They're too tall for my liking. A feeling of dread fell over me thinking of pictures with them towering over me (towering is an exagerration but still bothersome)!
I've already told them they have to wear flats for pictures and now.... I'm getting a second pair of shoes with huge heels that are unfortunately expensive again... Once they come in stock again though, they're mine!
I've never had height issues till now! I want the shoes so bad though. ![]()
So those are my guilty pleasures for the moment. Feels so good and so bad at the same time!![]()
