I don't know if brides still do this, so I figured I'd ask....
Are you getting FH a gift on the day of your wedding? If so, what? If not, why not?
I'm not getting FH anything big. He did mention that he wanted to wear a monocle for the reception, so I'm trying to find one that he can wear. I plan on giving it to him right before we get introduced as husband and wife at our reception.
I may go one step further and get a top hat and cane for him!!!
And look like the Mr. Peanut man!

I'm giving him B-pics, and cufflinks with a picture in them of his father who passed away.
His SIL got his brother those cufflinks and he loved them. I know he will love them.
The b-pics I know he will love too! And it will be fun for me :)

lol monocle! That would be a great photo op if he and all his groomsmen wore one.
FH and I said we won't do the traditional bride and groom gifts to eachother because we can't bear another expense to think about.
The honeymoon will be enough!

I'm putting together a scrapbook of our engagement. I've been saving invites, cards, etc. and will put them all together for him.

Yes I will get him One... Not sure.... I have got different ideas... maybe create like a Scrapbook with different things about us since we got engaged.... or something personalized for him... Like a Gold bracelet... Or a Picture frame...

Def special cufflinks - and I have gone back and forth about the b-pics.. not sure if i would do them before the wedding or for our first anniversary... money wise, i am leaning towards our first anniversary...
other then that - i think we are going to keep it small for $$$$ reasons.

I am actually getting him a couple of things.
- B-Pics (which I will actually give to him the night of the rehearsal dinner) - Surprise Grooms Cake (I will be giving this to him at the reception. - and I have my eye on something for a gift to give him the day off (obviously I will leave it with his parents to give to him). Not going to say what though because it's not a definite.

As a surprise at the reception, I'll be booking a cigar roller for FH. Too bad I can't finagle in some cubans for him!
For an actual present, I was leaning towards b-pics, but I need to make sure they fit in the budget. If they don't work now, using them as a first anniversary present is a great idea Weezy!

FYI for you - there is pipes and drums band playing at Mulchays in Wantagh Saturday from 4-8pm - I think it's $40 open bar and buffet.. you can go there and check them out if you want, would almost be like a live showcase LOL
