So FH and I were talking last night about last names. I made a deal with him that if he takes my last name we can name our first son FM first name.. ( not sure if we sticking to that plan, but its nice to know he is open to new things) I am the first born and I only have one brother to carry over our last name in our whole family. most cousins from my dads side are girls! How many of you are keeping your last name and is there any sentimental reason why?

Im taking his last name legally but professionally I'm going to hyphenate my last name since everyone knows me with my maiden name!

I've always wanted to keep my last name. He has no interest in anything but me taking his, though. So I haven't decided yet!
