Question: How big is your bridal party and how do you and FH know each member? What color dresses will your BM be wearing? What color tuxes or suits will the boys wear?
We have a 10 person bridal party. 5 girls and 5 guys. Here is the breakdown:
Matron of Honor: My bestie who Ive known since 2004 or 2005 (I forget lol) Shes like the older sister I never had. We instantly connected! Maid of Honor: My other bestie who Ive known since HS. We called each other cousins bcuz we had the same last name. BM1: My lil sister BM2: My cousin BM3: Another bestie who Ive known since HS.
All the groomsmen, with the exception of 1 who is his brother, are FH childhood friends. His best friend (who is also the mutual friend we share that introduced us) is his bestman.
My girls will be wearing dark purple dresses. I want the guys in dark grey suits with ties to match the colors of my wedding. FH will be in all white with me

We have a 14 person party 7 on each side.
My MOH is my sister- she's an awesome chick and so far she is taking her MOH duties very seriously LOL. I have 3 friends from college, 1 friend that I have known since the 6th grade, 1 friend that I met at work back in 2003 and my friend who is responsible for my meeting FH! Her husband is the best man actually. On FH's side he has his brother, his BFF from California and the rest are our friends. 2 members of the bridal party are married to each other, and we are like family with the 4 of them- we spend holidays together and everything. They are related to each other and without my friendship with them, there would be no wedding to write about.
I am putting the girls in Pewter dresses- like a shiny deep gray color.

Wow there are some big wedding parties!
We're having a *Gasp* Lopsided Party. 3 on my side, 4 on his. (Mine aren't officially asked, but have already jumped in the planning).
Maid of honor: Best friend, Known her since 1999/2000? BM1: 'Older sis' of the heart, for like 5-6 years. Instant click. It's scary how much we're alike. BM2: College roommate. It's been 10 years now. '
Best Man: FH's brother who he lived with growing up GM 1 and GM2: half-brothers, didn't live with but grew up with GM3: Best friend, 'Brother' since .. 5th/6th grade
Flower girl - FH's 5-year-old half sister.
So.. everyone's been around at least 6-ish years, most over a decade. Still have to find a cute way to officially ask my girls.
The girls are going to wind up in a shade of red. Something maybe with a touch of pink, something spring-like.
Guys will be black slacks, Linen period shirts and vests bearing swords...... I mentioned we were doing a twist on the medieval period meets fantasy, right?

We only have my side picked out, because my FH thinks he's cute and won't tell anyone who will be his GMs. Once we got engaged, everyone kept asking us tons of questions and FH hates being asked the same question over and over again. So, he won't tell. Not even me. LOL
Here is my list:
Matron of Honor - my older sister Maid of Honor - my little sister BM1 - my best friend from middle school. We've know each other since we 8th grade. BM2 & 3 - I met both girls when I moved to NY 4 1/2 years ago and they are awesome. LOVE them!
I know my FH will include his brother and my brother as GMs, but I'm not sure about anyone else.
My MOHs will wear a light purple and BMs will wear Plum. I want FH and GMs in classic black & white Tuxes.

I have 6 girls 2 of them are my MOH they r my best friends from HS and my one MOH is like a sister to me!!! BM- is krista she is my every close friend and sister of one of the MOH BM- Katie Ive know her for the last time we worked at chuck e cheese BM - Gina she's a HS friend too known her since MS BM- Traci she's a HS friend too and I'm on her bridal party her wedding is this year!!!
Oh I also have 2- Jr- BMs too one is a my cousins little girl and the other is the girl i babysit for!
That's mine my FH has not even told his friends lol but I think he is only having 3 plus his bro So my colors my MOHs r wearing a dark green clover so nice and my BMs r wearing a light green lettuce so nice lol The guys I want them to get a light gray with green!!!

We're having a small wedding party! Just a Maid of Honor and a Best Man!
Maid of Honor-My best friend since we were 5 years old (the Summer before Kindergarten) .... so we've known each other for 24 years!
Best Man-My fiance's best friend since he moved to the town he went to high school at. So they've known each other for about 16 years.
MOH dress-I would like for her to be in a Tiffany blue tea-length dress with a Cherry red sash, to match our colors!
BM-Black suit, we haven't decided on what color tie, etc... yet!

My side- Girls wearing plum MOH- We used to work at Pier 1 together years ago. MOH- Also worked with her at Pier 1. She's like the older sister type you to go for advice. BM- FH's sister BM- FH's cousin BM- Also used to work at Pier 1. She's like a little sister to me. FH's side- guys wearing plum or champagne (not sure yet) Best Man- his best friend. We have an 8 person bridal party. 3 girls and 3 guys, plus 2 flower girls.
My bridesmaids are all my closest friends since middle & high school.
His groomsmen are his three closest friends: 1 from hs, 1 from college, 1 from his last job.
Flower girls are my two nieces who will be 4 & 6.
FH and his groomsmen will be wearing some type of grey suit or tux. I think he wants to buy his suit and will suggest it to the GM but Idc as long as he's happy.
My girls will have options - either, 1. All in one color (doubtful and my least favorite unless they'd prefer it)
2. Different colors (my favorite) from our palette
3. Different shades of one color
Our colors are peach, a vintage minty-blue, grey and whatever else fits that era lol
Flower girls I'd like in champagne or gold simple dresses.

The are 18 people in the bridal party. Do you think that's out of control?
MOH - younger sister BM1 - older sister BM2 - best friend We've known each other since kindergarten. The best man is FH's brother. His groomsmen are his cousin and six of his closest friends.
I really would like my girls to wear persian plum. However, I have not gone bridesmaid dress shopping yet so another shade of purple may spark my interest. The men are going to wear black tuxes with either a tie in the matching shade of purple or a tie and vest in silver. It's going to depend on the shade of purple I choose.

I haven't picked mine. I know my Brother will be a Groomsman and I will definitely have my sister-in-law as Matron of Honor and FH's sister as a Bridesmaid, but FH doesn't know what to do about his guys so we aren't asking anyone yet. I'm 99.9999% sure my girls will be in Red. Guys in all Black Tux's and FH too... except he's changing into a White Jacket for the Reception!

I have 3 girls and FH has 5 guys.
My MOH has been my best friend for the last 7 years or so. BM 1 is FH's sister. BM 2 is a friend I met through FH who I've gotten close to.
Best Man is FH's brother. GM 1 is my brother. GM 2 is FH's good friend. GM 3 is FH's good friend. GM 4 is FH's stepfather.
My girls are wearing a darker blue, almost a navy but not quite. Boys will be wearing black tuxes and FH just decided he doesn't want them wearing vests so their ties will probably match the girl's dresses.

He has 8 GM His brother is his best man and one junior usher

I have 8 girls and FH was 6 plus 2 ring bearers. MOH is my sister, then bridesmaid are FH sister, then 2 cousins, 3 friends who I have all known for 14 years and FH cousin. His best man is his brother, then 3 of his cousins, and 2 of his friends. Our ring bears are my 2nd cousins. The girls dresses are going to be navy blue and the guys will be wearing black because FH hates anything beside a black tux.

1 Moh 7 BM 2 Best Men 5 Groomsmen
my MoH and 3 BM's I had met while working at the daycare center at hofstra my freshman/sophomore years. I had education classes with them as well 1 BM I et through my best guy friend-they worked together. 1 BM is a co-worker at my school and we taught in same classroom for 2 years together 1 BM is my FSIL
2 Best men are FH's brothers 2 groomsmen are my brothers FH went to HS with last 3 groomsmne

My original idea was cobalt blue dresses & fuschia flowers with the men wearing black w/blue ties.. Not sure if I'm sticking with it. I'm having a hard time with my 'vision'..
