QOTD 10-12

How did you ladies find out about LIW and how soon after you got enagaged did you join?

I got enagaged in August of '07 and joined a month later in September. A friend of mine had been on LIW while she was enagaged and planning her wedding in '06 and I knew that when I would get enaged that I would def. join this site!

one of my SIL's was on it 5 years ago so i kind of knew about it and then my more recent SIL was on it while she was planning her wedding in 07.

i joined the day after i got engaged

my sis actually mad me a profile on it .. and kinda surpised m with it .. she used it and said she knew it would make my planning so much fun and that i would meet great friends

I found this site while searching for halls in Queens and i got engaged in June and joined in August.

I was doing a google search that led me to an inspirational review on here. I read the review and didn't even bother to check out the rest of the website. But then I kept on doing google searches for other things and I was constantly being led back to here, so i finally looked around to see what it was about and became hooked. I joined 2 weeks later.

my sister was always a 'lurker' on this site and i used to tease her about it since she wasn't even engaged at that point and looking at the boards all the time..(she eventually got engaged though, but still lurks! haha). once i got engaged i joined it maybe a few days later

i found liweddings after i got engaged i was just googling reception halls in long island because i had checked a couple of halls in weschester and wasn't of my taste the one i liked the most (surf club) was out of our budget. As i clicked some links it used to direct me here and i just liked how girls would post their questions and get answers i thought it would be helpful for me so i joined 2 months after i got engaged and about a week of being a lurker hehe LURKER in a good way

I got engaged in Feb and a lady at work told me about the site in March. She said this site will help me with any question I needed because family and friends will get tired of here about my wedding. I can't say she is wrong. LIW help with my wedding, family, buying a house, and anything I wanted to talk about.

FH actually found it and told me about it! He's very involved inthe wedding process lol.

I got engaged iN December 07 and joined in January.

A coworker had told me about the site before i was engaged, so i was lurking before i was engaged, i joined a couple of days after i got engaged and have been addicted ever since
