QOTD 10-14

What was the very first wedding related thing you did after you got enaged ?

The first weding related thing I did was join LIW about a month after I got engaged. Then I got ideas of halls I wanted to visit and started started making appointments to see them.

welllll right after i got engaged FH took me out to dinner where i asked him what RHs he wanted to visit... he was like 'jen calm down, i just put the ring on your finger' LOL...

When i got home (from vegas) i joined LIW and made RH appointments

Began looking at Disney for a destination wedding. After that we realized we were better off staying close to home so everyone could go so i started looking for RHs and that's how I stumbled across LIW.

We got engaged at 5am and by 10am I was at Borders buying every magazine and/or book I wanted!!!

looked at RH's and bought mags and my mom invited all my family and friends over and we had champagne and dinner it was nice

well actually my FH bought us every wedding magazine subscription known to man.. then i joined LIW and then about a month later we booked the RH (after only looking at 3 others!)

the next day i bought a wedding planner and a whole stack of wedding magazines, then a couple of days later joined LIW

lol I went out an bought 3 wedding magazines because I was soooo excited I could! One was a hall locator so we started looking at halls to go to!

We got engaged on a Friday...on Monday I started checking out RHs. On Friday I took my Mom back to my top choices...and knew which one we would book that day. So in 1 week I had the RH picked. I wish everything else was that easy!

We got engaged last september but prior to that, my cousin got married a year before and I called myself being her unofficial 'wedding planner' so I had a stack of magazines that I had bought from when she was getting married. After thinking engagement was never going to happen for me, I stored them away because it was too much to look at them. The very next day after getting the ring, I pulled those bad boys out of storage and me and my mom sat on my bed for hours looking at them and putting paper clips on things we liked. It was such a memorable moment!

my mom & sister bought us engagement balloons & bought me a bridal magazine, which i immediately subscribed to. then my friend brought me all her old magazines & the locations book which i have memorized cover to cover.

We got engaged the day before Christmas Eve. That morning I found my bridesmaid dresses (the best part IMO) and then we couldn't do much else because of the holiday but Dec 26, I was online looking for prices for Woodbury Country Club (my dream hall). Unfortunately, it was WAY too expensive.

we got engaged on friday in the middle of nowhere so i was cut off from communication until sunday night , it coincided with a chinese holiday so my mom had the inlaws over for dinner already and the first thing i was confronted with was the engagement party haha, so that technically was the first thing we did/bought/deposited for
