**QOTD 10-28-11**

Morning ladies! Today's question is based on the new reality show I saw the other night, Monster in Laws. Anyone else catch it? It was brutal! With that noted, today's question is:


How well do you get along with you FILs? And how does FH get along with your family?

I adore my FMIL & FFIL. We get along really well. The welcome me into their family with open arms. They live about 7 hours from us so when we get togehter we ar in the sam ehouse for however long the visit. We do have different opinionson things but they are very respectful not to puh their opinions on us. My FMIL even tells me she refuses to be an terrible overbearing mother in law and that she wants me to speak up if something bothers me. I also have 2 FBIL's - love them. I have a closer relationship with one but that's only bc the other one travels the country filming/producing reality tv shows.

My FH loves my family. Yes, my mom can be a little overbearing but my dad helps manage that for us. FH golfs with my dad every weekend, they call each other. It's cute. And FH & my brother get along really well, too well at times, like long lost brothers And I know my mom adores FH, after all she is the one that offered my grandmothers engagement ring to him for me and went to hep him at the jeweler.

All in all, we have issues once in awhile but we really lucked out!

It's only his mom and I get along great with her! she's amazingly sweet, there's nothing not to love.

Well he's been living with me in an apartment attached to my parents house for over two years now, and my parents love him!. I think my dad thinks he's too shy and could work harder, but aside from that they love how much he loves me and our daughter.

They're pretty non-existant in FH's life, so I don't have much of a relationship with his parents. They divorced and remarried other people and left NY when FH was a lot younger. We rarely see them and I don't talk to them on my own. They're fine people and it's fine when we're together, but we don't go out of our way to have a relationship. I love his sisters, I have a great relationship with them and see them often.

My parents love FH and have made him a part of our family. We spend Christmas with my family and we see them often. FH and my dad get along well, they can hang out and watch football without me around. It's great.

Everyone gets along really well and my family loves him; I think his family loves me, too

It is so nice when these 'extended' relationships work out so well and I feel very lucky.

we get along great with eachothers parents, FH has actually gone to PA w/o me during the summer to visit my parents and work on the car with my dad lol

there is still those moments of drama where they drive you alil nuts but i've heard some real horror stories so i consider myself lucky

I don't really get along with the FIL's. His dad is an a-hole, his oldest brother lives at home jobless and smokes weed, his sister will forever have the mind of a kid due to birthing complications so I can't relate to her ever. His mother is the only one that I can kind of get along with, but she is super shy around me and there is a language barrier.

My mother tolerates FH, but I hate her so that doesn't matter. The rest of my real family are ok with him. My other family adore him.

Let's just say I think of this as a first generation of a new family.

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeee my FMIL & FFIL. I get along great with them. They have two sons so they really consider me to be the daughter they never had.

My FH gets along with my parents also. My father and him played on a few softball teams together. My mom's a difficult person to get along with in general but she's nice to him so I guess that's what matters.

Get along great with FIL's, which I am very happy about! FH has a brother who is 16 years younger than him, so now that he's getting older, we are better able to relate to each other.

My family thinks FH is an angel from above

Everyone from my mom to my grandparents to my aunt to my brothers...All love him so much. I love that they love him...makes me feel like I made the right choice

Unfortunately I only met FH father once before he ended up in the hospital and died from complications from Parkinsons Disease. I never met his mother because she died when FH was 10. But I get along really well with his two brothers.

My family likes FH more than they like me!
