Good Morning Ladies!!!!

Well this morning I was on the bus and I was trying to think of a good question and this one came to my mind. Most of us know how we met or how we got engaged BUT....

Who actually initiated the relationship and how?

FH and I were dating for about a month 1/2 and we had talked about being in a relationship but weren't really in it yet until............ On Christmas day 2009 I went to his house and we exchanged gifts and decided to watch a movie. Well during the movie the kissing and touching got crazy and I stopped him before I could go any further and said 'I can't do this, I'm tired of the flings, friends with benefits, and games. If I'm not your girlfriend then we can't do this!' and is his response was classic ' I'm waiting on you to say the word, I'm ready to be committed to you forever' I melted and then got nervous and I was like 'so we're in a relationship officially?' and he said 'yes' .... You all can imagine the rest!!!!

Well FH initiated the relationship. He started as my secret admirer for like 2 months. he would randomly call me and we would talk for hours and me not knowing who he was I was there talking away telling him about my dating life etc.... then finally one day he decided to tell me who he was .. and by that time I already knew anyway.

We went on an official date after that and he asked me to be his girl. I was a lil hesitant to say Yes b/c he was younger than me, so i made him wait a week for an answer. Then a week later I said Yes and he was like 'are you sure?' and I was like 'Yes! if you keep asking me that Im going to change my answer.' well 7 yrs later here we are planning our wedding. I'm so glad I didn't let the age difference interfere

FH and I both kinda initiated our first date by telling other people in our office that he thought I was cute (we used to work together) but he was too shy to talk to me, so I went up to him like 'hi, I heard you think im cute' LOL

As far as becoming exclusive it was kinda cute, one of his friends called and he called me his girlfriend so when he hung up i was like so im your girlfriend huh?

I am definitely a go getter so I totally initiated otherwise I would probably be waiting for years. When we reconnected I was flirting hard for two days and had the feeling that he might like me back. We were hanging out at a pool hall with a friend one night. We were sitting down waiting for our turn and I told him 'I have something to tell you, but I don't want this to change our friendship.' So I told him right there that I liked him and he said he liked me too. As the night went on I said you should make this official and ask me to be your girlfriend so he did. Then I gave him his first kiss.

FH and I met on Match.com. He was the one to actually click on me! He also emailed me first.

hmm I guess FH initiated it since he wrote me on POF. We talked for about 2 weeks and then met up on a Friday night. He was a complete gentleman and I knew right away he would be different than the rest.

So glad he wrote me

I would have to say it's more him than me since he reached out to me first and I was so shy and hesitant, I needed a little push.

He emailed me on match and said he thought we'd get along well and asked me for drinks. We set up a time a couple nights later and we clicked instantly. Even though we were so comfortable together, I was still very heistant and shy it took a little for me. He was always so so sweet to me and we had a lot of fun together. But because I was so unsure, he didn't think I really liked him! After a week of seeing each other after work he convinced me to ride the SI ferry and hang out with him at his place. That was all it took, because that night we had our first kiss and it's been easy and amazing ever since.

we have the weirdest begining to our relationship lol

both of us were on relationship strick when we met, he made the first move at the bar where we met but after i really never expected it to go further then a few dates, if that.

we kept seeing eachother and i was calling him my 'man- friend' cause i refused to admit i had a 'boyfriend' had to hear alot from my friends on that one lol but he was doing the same thing, i was always being called his 'lady friend' it took alil over a year for us to finally break and admit to one another that we are boyfriend and girlfriend, and thats only cause his mother was already introducing me as his girlfriend and his co-worker at the time fought him during lunch and started yelling at him that i'm not his lady-friend i'm his girlfriend lol

so he made the first move to meet me and then we both kinda gave up and ****** it up that we were in a relationship with eachother lol

I sort of conned fh into going on our first date lol on valentines day I had a ' sympathy' date with a guy friend and we really were just close friends but he ended up canceling on me to go on a real date last minute because the girl he liked found out he was going out with me and she asked him out. Fh and I worked together so I kept complaining about my sympathy date canceling and w were flirting and joking and he said ill take you on a date tonight amd my plan worked perfectly!

He was getting out of a very complicated relationship so we were seeing either just as friends for a few months maybe like 3 until one night his dog got hit by a car rand he was devastated and I stayed with him to comfort him and he told me I was the most amazing person he ever met and never felt this way about anyone and if I would be his girl <3

FH and I met on eharmony, and technically he contacted me first. Then we went out for about 2 months going on dates about once maybe twice a week.

We were really taking our relationship slow, but one night, he cooked a delicious dinner and after officially asked me to be his girlfriend :)

It was exactly how I always wanted a guy to treat me!

hmm, good question. i'm not even really sure because we were both so anti commitment. he said i love you first so i'll say he did but i'm sure i was hoping for it the entire time while trying to play cool.

Good question! Well, FH and I met on match. But in order for him to come up in my search I had to up my age limit on my search When I saw his picture and his name I winked at him, but he was the first one to write an email, so I guess I made the first move.

We were mutually inseparable from the night we first met. It was really love at first sight. We met and spent that entire weekend together, and then my birthday was on Monday. He sent me flowers and then showed up at my door! (He lived in Queens then and I lived in E. Setauket) lol, so we had kind of an insta-relationship.

FH and I went to college together, were friends throughout school but kinda went our separate ways after graduation. A year and a half later, I was out in the city & met up with his former roommate (who I was and am still good friends with) and FH happened to be there. We wound up hitting it off, he walked me to my car the other night, asked me if I'd like to hang out again. Obviously we hung out but neither of us really initiated the relationship part ... things kinda just fell into place.
