QOTD 10/28/2009*

Morning ladies!! I'm in a seminar so I hope this posts...

If you had to relinquish control of one of the following things to David Tutera (my fair wedding) which would you choose and why?
1) Your dress
2) Your bm dresses
3) Your reception location and decor
4) Your flowers

I will answer when I am at a computer :)

Flowers!!!! I can't make up my mind on them and I know they will be amazing in his hands.

It's a toss up between the BM dresses and the flowers.

I have a lot of different people in my BP and I'd rather not be responsible for any of them being unhappy/annoyed at the dress selection.

Flowers... As long as he gives me tall CPs then I'm totally cool with anything he chooses!

FLOWERS!!!!!!!!!!! These are giving my the biggest headache!!!

My dress I would def not want anyone else to pick...I want to try it on and love it and know that its what I want and what I feel most comfy in....

I love my reception location and would want to make sure its smoething FH and I both really love......so I don't think I would need him to pick that for me either!!

Decor/flowers is prob what I most need help with but if I had to pick ONE, it would be the flowers!!!

Well, I'm not using flowers and I love my dress and my RH, so I guess the decor. MY RH is perfect but it doesnt go with my theme so if he could add things to match my vision I would be in heaven.

flowers!!!! that is the one thing I am not really excited about doing... i want to just tell someone my theme and colors and walk away!

I guess it would be the flowers because I love everthing else I picked the dresses my rh I would never want to change them, I also really love my flowers but I would give that to him If I had to

i would say decor!!!
drape my room, give me phat linenes, more lighting, etc anyday!!!!!!!

i love my gown to much to change
i love the gowns the girls picked
i love my rh
to be honest most of the time i hate what he does with flowers. its to much for my taste. i love the idea we picked for cps

I would have to say the decor b/c my RH's room has a conservative look that makes it hard to mess with. Everything else I want in my hands!

the flowers hands down. This was such a source of headache, anxiety, and annoyance for me, plus my budget is quite small that I would LOVE for him to take over.

I would say anything to do with decor of the venue, flowers.
not my dress or bridesmaid dresses.

First of all, my sister was the Amanda bride on MFW. He comes in with less than a month to go. Seriously, how many of your major decisions have not been made by that time? How many of you are not paying for your wedding (FH and I are footing the bill for our own) and maybe put those paying under some serious financial strain to put together the best reception their money could buy? Really, sit and think about that.

Now, if DT and MFW accepted applications once a couple was engaged and truly helped to make decisions every step of the way, then sign me up!! Would I give up control of all of thsoe things? Of course I would IF AND ONLY IF it was right there at the time of purchase, at contract signing or whenever you really consider a vendor booked.

Sorry for the strong tone of this post but until you've lived through a DT experience, you really don't understand. Keep in mind I was only the MOH and not the bride or the person footing the bill and I still feel this strongly.

You know that saying....the grass is always greener on the other side...well it really applies for this question.

I have to say that I would not want to use David Tutera because I am not in love with everything he does and I feel like his brides and grooms don't get to enjoy their weddings he is always pushing them to do other things. jmo

Flowers.... I dont have a huge floral budget so he is sure to upgrade them. I want my gown and my hall.. The Bm dresses he usually picks I don't like so thats why I wouldn't chose them

i LOVE my reception location.. but it would be cool if he could pimp me out a lil.. i love the way he transforms a room.. linens.. drapings.. lighting.. etc.
