Thank you so much coffeeisgreen for making me the bride of the week!! I'm so excited to come up with questions!!
In honor of my beloved Jets playing Monday night football, I'm kicking off the week with a sports question! Do you and your FH share any team obsessions or rivalries?
FH and I are huge hockey fans but he's a devout NY Rangers fan and I am a diehard NY Islanders fan. It's made for many funny stories when we go games. We get heckled with frequently with comments like 'you guys are never gonna make it!!'. We're always entertained by it and enjoy some friendly trash talking to each other lol. As far as football goes, FH and I are both Jets fans (for better or for worse!). We both don't really follow baseball but we like hitting up a Yankee or mets game when we can.
I'm the diehard Ranger fan and he's the Isles fan. He's not AS into hockey as I am... but we do enjoy some trash talking every now and then.
Like the other day I was joking with him thats its HIS fault the isles can't win a cup because '83 is the last cup you'll ever see because he was born in '84.
and he pulled out 'Yeah well.... after '94 win cups no more' LOL
its alllll friendly sports lol
i don't pay attention to any other sport. Hockey is all I care about.

GIANTS!!! Not that I'm very pleased with them so far this year. After dating my ex who was a Jets fan, I swore I could never date anyone other than a Giants fan again. My whole family is HUGE Giants fans and watching football just isn't as fun when you're not watching it with a fan of your team. But other than that, we also have the Mets and the Knicks in common and enjoy watching them and going to games together. He's tried to get me into hockey but it's not happening.

for baseball I'm yankees, hes red sox.... although the teams are rivals, we don't make it an issue for our relationship. In fact, we have both bought the other tickets to a game and attended the games in the 'other teams' apparel. Both of us refused to buy it with our own money though, so I bought him a yankee t-shirt and he bought me a redsox one. It sits at the bottom of my drawer, and I pretend its not there, but I can pull it out if need be. lol

Our stars are mostly aligned in the sports world! We are both HUGE Ranger's fans.. We watch every game. We are also both HUGE Giants fans.. although right now we are both very disgusted with them.. and we were both raised Mets fans.. although we do not watch on tv(it puts me to sleep) we do enjoy attending games!!
We are both also into NASCAR>. He was a Dale Sr fan and now he roots for Jr. which works out since that is my favorite driver.. Jimmie Johnson's team mate.. And as long as a chevy is in victory lane at the end of the race we are happy even if it isnt our drivers. LOL

Congrats Caity on BOTW ;)
I am the most unathletic and unsporty person around so whenever FH has on sports I'll 'cheer' for whoever he's rooting for. Or ask him 'when is your sports show over ;)'
FH is a diehard Giants fan, loves the Knicks and the Mets.

We're both Mets fans (unfortunately lol). He's a Jets fan, I don't watch a lot of football, but when I do I like the Giants. And he likes the Islanders, I couldn't care less about hockey.

He is a lifelong WWE fan and he got me into it so we attend the occasional Raw or Smackdown when they're in town but that's not often. We did attend the past two WrestleManias which were a fun experience.
I'm a big Yankees fan and he was when he was younger so I definitely helped respark his interest.
As for other sports, we don't follow but we do attend Super Bowl parties.
All in all we are a sports friendly household, lol.

It was important to me that FH & I liked the same teams. Had he not been an Islanders fan or Jets fan I would not have dated him.

Football is what we like. I like the patriots and he is a cowboy fan!
We both like the Mets and Giants, but he's much more of a die-hard Giants fan and I'm a much bigger Mets fan (though it hasn't been easy the last few seasons)!

Before I meet FH, I wasn't really into football, but now he has turned me into a GIANTS fan and it is great! I have to say, I really do enjoy watching football now and look forward to Sundays when we can grab some food, have a beer and enjoy the game :) FH has taught be a lot about football so now I know exactly what is going on haha. Its so great when you can celebrate a victory together (although we haven't seen much of that so far this season...kind of embarrassing!)

We're both Jets fans (like you said, for better or worse! LOL) but when FH and I started dating, he didn't know anything about football, I'm the one who taught him!! LOL!! We're both huge Yankee fans also. Neither one of us care much for hockey.
