What are some things you sacrificed for the wedding? This can be either paying for the wedding, or something you wanted at the wedding that you're not having....
I kinda feel like a question like this was up in recent questions, but I'm not sure. Sorry if it's redundant!!
I wanted to get married in some sort of mansion, but that was way expensive. I think as planning continues I may have to give up some ideas I wanted...I can def see this happening with the flowers!!

Re: QOTD 1/10
well wedding wise...so far we are getting the things we want...we have the hall and night we wanted and we were able to afford our favorite vendors.
on the other hand....we have been giving up some other pleasures like we dont go out to eat as much...i dont shop as freely as i used to...all extra money we come into (birthday gift money, tax checks, un-used vacation time pay) has been going straight to the wedding.
so i guess we are sacrificing our everyday things to really get what we want for the wedding day

Re: QOTD 1/10
This is not necessarily somthing that we sacrificed (because we really like this time of year) ...but we arent getting married in the spring because we wouldnt have been able to afford a saturday night wedding in the summer.

I have really sacrificed anything wedding related, everything I am doing is exactly what we wanted. Personally I sacrificed my bi monthly nail appts. Needed the extra money to put towards savings

We're getting married in March so I could have a Saturday night wedding. I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to be getting married in June or July. That's about it, so far.

I would have loved a summer wedding but only because I'm a teacher and thought it would have been easier to have time both before and after the wedding. So I went with a school vacation instead - but I'm happy with our decision because now I can have other things that I really wanted.

Getting married in Newport, Rhode Island, but it's too expensive. FH and I really wanted to but it didn't really go over so well with our families or with our own finances lol

Re: QOTD 1/10
we sacrificed a saturday wedding just to keep my dream of a summer night wedding because i was not budging with that.
we sacrificed not moving in together to have more money to put towards the wedding.
i think that's it. so far we've been able to get everything else. i'm hoping for more extras though, but we'll see.

Re: QOTD 1/10
once we looked at our budget, we gave up the idea of getting married in nyc. it is just so expensive and you dont get alot of extras. hopefully the money we are 'saving' can be used for a band and a few other things i want! :)

Re: QOTD 1/10
Surprisingly...no sacrafices. I've actually ended up with everything I wanted, including a Sat night wedding and a band, when I didnt think either was possible.
I guess if i could really have anything I want...I would have this crazy after party..which just isnt in the budget

Re: QOTD 1/10
We sacrificed a fall wedding for a summer wedding since it was cheaper. Also..not living together before the wedding.

Re: QOTD 1/10
We havent really sacrificed anything wedding realted yet, but we are sacrificing in daily life for the wedding. I dont go out and buy coffee everyday like i used to, take lunch to work everyday, minimal driving on weekends to conserve gas, no more shopping...
