QOTD 11/11/09

I took this from the 2010 board today, because I thought it was a really good one, so I figured I would bring it over here today

I know that some of us have know our FH/DH for many years and some for only a few. If you could go back in time to some point of your first year w/FH/DH, and give yourself one piece of advice regarding FH/DH, yourself or the future; what would you say?

JK I think I would tell myself to not get annoyed when he doesnt remember things cause most days he can't remember his own name!!!!

I would tell myself to realize that I will never be first and I will always be second to the family. If I had known it earlier it might have prevented some fights and made it easier to accept or try to accept.

I think I would've told myself to trust that he loves me and not worry he was going to hurt me. I know he never, ever would. But because of my history, I was so nervous about jumping in too hard to fast at first. Things happen for a reason, though, so it was all perfect.

I still feel like I met my prince charming and he swooped in and took me away from everything I knew to a foreign land. lol

Honestly, I am in the minority but I wouldn't change a thing. I truly love everything about my Husband and there is nothing I would go back and change...

i would say to remeber what it was like when we first fell in love,we were so young but it was so prfect...so we can remember the feeling when we r 50 yrs old

I would have said WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?? We were friends at work for a while before anything happened and it was sooo obvious that we both liked each other… but it took my friend meddling to finally push us together. And now she'll hold that over our heads forever.

I would tell myself not to try to make DH more like me...I am very organized and planned and he is total opposite and I can't tell you how many fights we had over me trying to make him think like I do...so I would tell myself to shut the f**k up...LOL

OMG..DH would forget his head if it wasn't attached!!! I am glad I am not alone with this..LOL

I'd whisper to myself 'You're right!'
I was only 16 and he was only 18 when we started dating but I knew from our first date that we were gonna get married. Everyone told me I was way too young to have feelings like that. Haha...I was right!

really - I wouldn't change anything or give myself any piece of advice. FH is actually the easiest relationship I've ever been in. I knew from the minute I met him we were going to get married. I just 'got' him and he 'gets' me.
