Today's question is: How did you find out LIW? Now that you are all addicted I mean planing do you think you could plain your wedding without this wonderful tool?
I found LIW before we were engaged. A few of my friends were on here and using it to plain their weddigns.
If it wasnt for this site I have no idea how my wedding plans would be at this point. I had no idea about vendors and RH. This is such a great site and Ive made some great friends in the year that Ive been on. I suggest this to all the new brides I have in my life. It true is a life saver.

I think I did a google search for something and a thread for LIW came up. When I started looking around on LIW I saw just how much info is on this site and how amazing it is and I was hooked! I was def nervous to start posting at first, but everyone on here is really helpful and I don't think I could plan our wedding without the amazing reviews on this site. I have learned of millions of vendors I would have never heard about were it not for LIW and so many special touches such as slipper baskets and a lot of DIY projects - love this site!!

I found out about LIW a looong time ago. My sister got married in 2006 and she used to use this site at that time. I used to help her research vendors on this site and knew I would def be using LIW when I get married.
I'm sure if this site didn't exist or if I never found it I could get by with planning my wedding. However, I really don't think that I could plan my wedding as well as I am planning right now without this site. I doubt I would have found the vendors that I have booked so far and ones that I will book in the future without LIW. There are so many nice ideas that I have gotten from other brides and the reviews have been extremely helpful!!! It's also great to be able to talk to other brides to bounce ideas off of, receive advice from, and to have them as a support during this time!

I foung LIW while searching for RH prices..but accident
I snooped for a while and then joined..I too had no idea about photographers, makeup artists and all these great little things that will cost me extra $$.
It's also great to be able to comparison shop to make sure your not getting too ripped off b/c it's a wedding

IA with Denise... I started searching for reception halls and every time I searched, LIW came up. And each time, I would check out the threads and ideas. That's when I decided to join in on all the fun a great ideas. I don't think I'd be so calm if I hadn't found this site! Thanks ladies!!

Exactly how I found it as well...and I completely agree with you! It is so helpful with all the reviews and special touches and ideas!! and the support from all the girls is awesome!

Could not have said it better...this is exactly how i found LIW and would have been completely in the dark about so many things if it wasn't for this site and all the help from you girls! : )

I found it when I located the article online for the 'Top 10 Places on LI to get Married' ..it had a link to it.
